Angourie has just been named a National Surfing Reserve. Bells Beach and Angourie are the only two in Australia.

Uluwatu is located in the perfect position in Angourie central to all 4 beaches but off the main road in a quiet street close to the beach and half way up the hill to get a great view. Low and off the ridge it is protected from the wind and the tropical gardens provide a haven for native bird life. Angourie reserve is right next-door with a great swing park for kids and Spooky beach is just 100 meters from door to sand. The beautiful fresh water blue pools are 200 meters walk. The Angourie General Store/cafe is 1-minute walk and has become famous for its sensational food. The burgers are soooo good as is the coffee!! There is also a restaurant, an art gallery and numerous Day Spa/ Massage facilities in Angourie. Cars can be driven down to Spooky Beach to launch boats and the Lake at Wooloweyah also has boat-launching spots. All of the beaches are renowned for good surf at Angourie. Angourie point being arguably the best right hand point break in Australia.

Check out Spooky point (right), Back point(left) and Green point(left and right) all within 5 minutes walk. Most of the year you could be the only person walking on the beach! Life really is a beach at Angourie!! Fishing, snorkeling, bushwalking, tennis and relaxing are all popular activities. The great Yurigyir Coastal National Park spans the coast south of Angourie. It is famous for having some of the best coastal walks on the east coast, and there are so many birds!! The parks entrance is just 300 meters walk from Uluwatu.

Yamba is 5 km north and is known for it beautiful setting on the river, beaches and hundreds of large Norfolk Pines line the streets. Yamba has all of the usual shopping facilities, The Pacific Hotel (the pub with the best view in Australia). 18 hole Golf course, bowling club, tavern, markets, cinema, restaurants, cafes, beaches and the Clarence River.
